At Sagrada’s entrance is the last ancient well before entering San Miguel, and was constructed by the Spanish over four centuries ago. Though only six miles from San Miguel, Sagrada feels a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of city life. San Miguel was named a UNESCO World Heritage city in 2008, and is consistently ranked in the Top 5 Cities of Mexico, Central, and South America by Travel + Leisure magazine, and is one of the great destination cities of the Americas.

San Miguel de Allende provides an unparalleled quality of life, vibrant arts, cultural scene, and wonderful climate. Straddled between the Sierra Madre Occidental in the west and the Sierra Madre Oriental in the east, San Miguel de Allende sits at an altitude of 6,300 feet and is 160 miles north of Mexico City and enjoys more than 300 days of sunshine a year. Founded in 1542, San Miguel de Allende became an important supply center for the mines and a stopover from the other big mining cities. Sagrada Wellness Mexico is located along the El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro (Royal Inland Highway), one of the most important routes of colonial America, linking Mexico City with Santa Fe, New Mexico. For over 250 years, El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro (The Inland Royal Road) between Mexico City and Santa Fe, New Mexico was the route of conquest, expeditions, The Silver Road, missionaries, soldiers, settlers and commerce from central Mexico to, what is today, the Southwest of the United States. In July of 2010, this road was named as a World Heritage Site. It is unusual for a road to be named as a World Heritage Site!

A haven for expats for its safety, San Miguel de Allende has pleasant weather, varied cultural experiences, and beautiful historic architecture. San Miguel de Allende is a very safe place for women to travel alone, with many of our guests being single women that have arrived at all times of the day and night. Sagrada Wellness Mexico is situated 6 miles outside of the historic, colonial town of San Miguel de Allende, and is adjacent to a world class Nick Faldo golf course, art galleries, gourmet restaurants, and hot springs. Much of the charm of this amazing retreat is the kind and knowledgeable team that operate it. We invite you to spend your next vacation with us at Sagrada Wellness Mexico... treat yourself to life.
